Despite a number of problems, we are still operating.
Our web presence and availability is not what it used to be, however. Due to a dispute with our ISP (they wanted to continue charging us after we terminated their services, and refused to turn the website over to our new people), we discovered that we no longer owned our original domain name (www.vestatech.com). This turns out to be a significant pitfall for a small business. Whatever you do, do not let your ISP register your domain in their name – at that point, it becomes their property, and you have little or no recourse to recover it.
Our ISP kept our domain for over a year, and when they stopped paying to have the domain, we were unable to re-acquire it. We have been offered the opportunity to buy it back from the people who managed to get it (we had a bid in for it, but it was apparently bought by someone prior to our bid even being considered), but the price they want for it is prohibitive.
Besides several custom products that we still produce, we currently offer the following standard products:
Part:02-S2DR --- SBC2000-074
Single-board computer based on PIC16F74 processor. Runs VSTB, a proprietary Basic with bit, byte, 16-bit integer, and 32-bit float variables. Named procedures, parameter passing, recursion, I/O redirection, event handing, and timers. Two serial channels, LCD/keypad interfaces, SPI expansion, and more. 32K bytes program storage.
Part:02-S4BR --- SBC2000-332
Single-board computer based on MC68332G processor. Two serial channels, LCD/keypad interfaces, RTC, 1MB flash, 1MB RAM, up to 1MB EPROM, bus and SPI expansion, and more.
Part:02-S7AR --- MC2000-077
Mezzanine computer based on PIC16F877 processor. Runs VSTB. Adds 32-bit integer capabilities and more events to SBC2000-074 capabilities. 32K bytes program storage.
Part:02-Z14 --- DEV-07x
Development platform for the MC2000-077. Provides a beeper and connectors for power, keypad, LCD, serial ports, SPI expansion. We currently have limited quantities of this board, and what we have is not ROHS-compliant.
Part:02-B1R --- Bus 4 Serial
Adapter board for SBC2000-332 that provides 4 extra serial ports.
Part:02-D1R --- RS485
Adapter board for SBC2000-074 or MC2000-077/DEV-07x that converts one serial port from RS232 to RS485.
Part:02-V23R --- VAIO12
Adapter board with SPI interface that provides 8×12-bit ADC and 8×12-bit DAC to SBC2000-074, SBC2000-332, or MC2000-077.
Part:02-MERC16 --- Mercury 16
Single-board computer based on PIC16F1947 processor. Runs programs in C or assembly. 32K bytes non-volatile storage, Arduino-compatible connectors, extra I/O connectors, and more.
Part:02-MERC18 --- Mercury 18
Single-board computer based on PIC18F66K90 processor. Faster clock than Mercury 16. Runs programs in C or assembly. 32K bytes non-volatile storage, Arduino-compatible connectors, extra I/O connectors, and more.
Part:02-ACAT3 --- Alleycat
Single-board computer based on LPC1778 ARM Cortex-M3 processor. 120MHz, 32-bit processor with 512KB internal flash, 96KB internal RAM, 2MB onboard flash, onboard SDRAM, expansion connectors, SDCard interface, multiple UART/CAN/SPI/PWM/ADC channels, and more.
